Large institutional investors — hedge funds, pension funds, and major asset managers — are legally required to disclose their holdings in publicly traded securities to the SEC every quarter, in a filing called Form 13F. This page aggregates that data from a "where is smart money flowing" angle: which stocks are held by the largest number of institutional investors at once, and which positions they've recently increased.
Note: this page tracks 13F filings from funds and institutional investors — not company insiders. For tracking purchases and sales by a company's own executives and officers, see Insider Trading.
