Benjamin Graham (1894โ1976) is widely regarded as the father of value investing. He taught at Columbia Business School (Warren Buffett among his students) and co-founded the investment firm Graham-Newman with David Dodd. Security Analysis (1934, with Dodd) and The Intelligent Investor (1949) established the ideas of intrinsic value and margin of safety that still underpin value investing today.
